Twelve Mobile Dust Collectors Heading to the UK to Manage Dust in Tunnel Project
Congratulations to the Grydale team who designed, manufactured and tested twelve mobile dust collectors in record time. The units are scheduled to arrive in the UK at the end of June and will be commissioned on site within 4 months of orders being placed.
The JMS-6-MES and JMS-10-MES dust collectors will be used to manage dust during the construction of cross passages on a major UK tunnel project.
The JMS-6-MES units were manufactured to our standard configuration and feature a 37kW centrifugal fan to produce 6m3/s at -2.5kPa.
The JMS-10-MES units were custom designed to meet the air volume requirements and limited space constraints on site. They feature a 75kW centrifugal fan to produce 10m3/s at -4.5kPa.
Due to the compact footprint of units, they can be shipped cost effectively in 40ft shipping containers.
One of the key features of the Grydale mobile dust collectors is the inclusion of a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) as part of the standard configuration. The VSD ensures the dust collector provides the required air flow using the least amount of power. If there is insufficient air flow, the air flow meter on the dust collector will turn up the Variable Speed Drive (VSD) to generate more air volume. Equally the air flow meter will turn down the VSD so the dust collector uses less kW for the same amount of volume depending on the temperature and conditions. This makes the units power efficient, and clients have reported they have been able to reduce their power consumption by up to40%.
The JMS-6-MES are complete dust collection systems featuring a dirty air intake, filter house, clean air box, silencer, exhaust, dust discharge system and 37kW centrifugal fan mounted on a single manoeuvrable skid base to create 6m3/s (12,000CFM) @ -2.5kPa.*
