Grydale designed a custom version of our JMS-10-MES, (10m3/s, Mobile, Electric Skid) dust collector to enable it to be easily mounted on standard 20′ shipping container pins for enhanced mobility required on railway projects.
The remediation of railway tracks often involves abrasive blasting works which create hazardous dust, posing a risk to the health and safety of workers and the surrounding environment that needs to be controlled for the safe completion of works.

The 20,000CFM unit has been effectively used within railway tunnel remediation work when abrasive blasting was required to remove scale and graffiti from concrete.

Our in-house engineering team and local manufacturing facilities gives us the ability to respond positively to customer requirements and configure custom mobile solutions for a range of different applications.

Grydale has an extensive range of dust collectors available for Sale or Rental.  Contact us for more information.

  • Our JMS 30 MDT is both Europe and USA's first dust collector

Another JMS-30-MDT headed for Overseas Market

July 30th, 2021|

The JMS-30-MDT is one of the most versatile models within our range of mobile dust collection units. The unit can provide both dust collection at source working alongside excavation equipment such as surface miners and trenchers and it can also support general ventilation. The multiple side air intakes also allow it to be connected to multiple sources simultaneously for example rock hammers working within a confined space. The versatility of this unit is the reason why it was the first in our fleet of Mobile Dust Collectors in the UK and Europe and also the first unit to be en-route to build our fleet in the USA. The key modification that has taken place between the manufacture of these two units is the reduction in overall width, achieved by bringing the tracks in line with the skid to give our new JMS-30-MDT units a maximum width of 2830mm. Our engineering [...]

The prestigious North American tunnelling event, Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference (RETC) occurs every two years and is a widely-recognized event dedicated to tunnelling innovation. The conference brings together industry heavy hitters – project owners, engineers, consultants, manufacturers, and service providers to collectively discuss challenges in the industry and learn from one another. As tunnels get larger, deeper, and excavated in more challenging conditions, expectations are continually increasing for tunnels that are completed quickly, safely, and sustainably. The 2021 event in Las Vegas did not disappoint, with over 100 exhibitors and 600 attendees. Grydale USA (Craig Allan, VP of Sales & Operations and Liz Stone, Marketing & Business Development Manager) joined the conference as a first-time exhibitor to raise awareness about internationally patented mobile dust collection units as part of Grydales’ international growth strategy into North America.
