A Perfect Pairing
The Balfour Beatty VINCI project team had concerns that the use of conventional breakers to reduce the levels for the Guide slab would cause severe fracturing of the sandstone. A J Gammond Ltd were invited to attend a site meeting, where they quickly identified that the use of the breakers was causing fractures of over one metre in depth. The project team agreed that to eliminate this risk they would use the Rock Hawg Surface Miner. The Rock Hawg was used to reduce the existing surface levels by up to 700mm to create a flat level surface. This was done with the use of GPS Technology and carried out in 3 separate passes over an area of 24m x 42m and was completed in 16 hrs. Twelve Mobile Dust Collectors Heading to the UK to Manage Dust in Tunnel Project
Congratulations to the Grydale team who designed, manufactured and tested twelve mobile dust collectors in record time. The units are scheduled to arrive in the UK at the end of June and will be commissioned on site within 4 months of orders being placed.

Refurbished Unit Back to Work
After two years onsite, working alongside roadheaders to provide effective dust control and ventilation during the excavation of the WestConnex tunnels in Sydney, NSW, another Grydale® JMS-50-MHS (Mobile, Hybrid, Stepping System) dust collector has been fully refurbished and is now ready to work on the next project.

Two Grydale® JMS-6-MEC (6m3/s, Mobile, Electric, Castor Wheel) dust collectors will leave for the UK today. Both units are being shipped within a 40ft OT Container which provides a cost-effective transport option for our export market.
Dust Collection Solution for Stonemasonry
Last week we commissioned a Grydale® JMS 60 F-Series dust collector for our prestigious stone masonry client in NSW, along with intelligent work booths that will allow more efficient stone cutting (including dry sawing) to take place within the workshop, significantly increasing operational efficiencies.

JMS-20 and JMS-10 heading to AJ Gammond in UK
Last month A J Gammond Ltd purchased two new Grydale® mobile dust collectors. The JMS-20-MDT and a JMS-10-MDT both left for the UK this week and will arrive early in the New Year to work alongside their fleet of excavation equipment on a range of key construction projects.
